A letter from our Secretary General

Dear Prospective Delegate,

Welcome to the ninth iteration of Richmond Model United Nations!

My name is Kellie Ho, and I am ecstatic to serve as your Secretary-General for RichMUN 2024. Together with our dedicated Secretariat team and Board of Directors, I warmly invite you to join us on June 8-9th at the Wilson School of Design for the culminating Model UN conference of this academic year.

Since its inception, Richmond Model United Nations was born from a shared dream to create an educational and memorable forum for youth, led by youth. A decade later, our mission persists. In today’s ever-evolving Model UN landscape, our Secretariat has diligently crafted an innovative experience that fosters connections, learning, and personal growth. This year’s committee selection comprises nothing short of the word “innovative”. Each led by our experienced staff teams, delegates have the opportunity to engage in meaningful discourse and problem-solving in committees ranging from British Columbia City Planning (BCCP) to the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. (UNESCO).

Participating in Model UN has undoubtedly shaped my high school journey, leading me to forge friendships and experiences that will carry with me in my future endeavors. As such, I am passionate about sharing this experience with you at RichMUN. Should you have any inquiries or need further information, please feel free to contact us. We are excited to meet all delegates, whether you are returning or attending your first conference, at RichMUN 2024!

Warm regards,
